Photo Restoration and Digital Retouching

We offer a full range of photo restoration and digital retouching services, at highly competitive rates. If you have treasured photos that are faded, stained, spotted, torn, cracked, scratched or bleached, we can restore the image to its original form using the latest digital technology.

We work with high-resolution digital scans of the original photos, so the precious originals are preserved unharmed. The restored images are printed on professional Epson Ultra Premium Presentation Paper using Epson printers and archival-quality, pigment-based ink. (For more information about our archival-quality prints, click here.)

Please note that the rates shown below for photo restoration and digital retouching services include only the restoration process. They do not include printing costs for your final images, which will vary according to the print size(s) you want. You can also purchase copies of your restored images as high-resolution JPEG files on CD for $25, less the discount shown below.**

**(We offer a 20% discount on prints and CDs with all photo restoration jobs.)

Our photo restoration services fall into one of the four following rate levels (per restored image), depending on the amount and severity of damage, etc. Photos assigned to a particular restoration level would possess one or more of the damage characteristics shown below for that level:

  • Level One: $45
    • Minimal damage in non-detail areas.
    • Minor scratches limited to background areas.
    • Low-level fading on significant area of the photo.
  • Level Two: $75
    • Minor scratches affecting the subject.
    • Low-to-moderate fading or spotting affecting entire photo.
    • Color enhancement or colorization of an undamaged photo.
  • Level Three: $105
    • Tears or cracks affecting the subject.
    • Color enhancement plus repair of spots and scratches.
    • Change oval shape to rectangular portrait shape.
    • Change to a different background.
  • Level Four: $135
    • Extensive scratches or fading over the entire photo.
    • Significant cracks or other damage in detail areas.
    • Add or delete one person and change background.

A single photo restoration typically takes 5-10 working days to complete, depending on the level of damage as described above. If multiple photos are involved, the processing time becomes a multiple of those numbers. We will let you know when your order is ready, but please prepare to be patient. Digital restoration of damaged photos is a highly labor-intensive process. (I do not offer "rush" jobs for doing restoration work, but quality work can be expedited to meet client deadlines. If you truly have an emergency need to receive your restored photos by a certain date, we will try to accommodate your request. However, please know that this will require extending our normal work day for a period of days, and higher rates will apply. Please contact John here for further information, or call the number shown at the bottom of this page.)

Your satisfaction with our photography services and with the beauty and quality of our products is Guaranteed!
