Welcome to the Portraits page of John W. Smith, Journey's End Photography LLC. I'm a free-lance photographer based in Franktown, Colorado on the southeastern outskirts of Denver, but I work throughout Colorado. I will also consider assignments further afield.

My photographic style can best be described as flexible "portrait journalism." It is a style well suited to location portrait photography -- a creative blend of technical skill, artistic talent, and classic portraiture, liberally sprinkled with photo-journalistic story-telling.

We provide a wide range of on-location portrait services, including Family Portraits, High School Senior Portraits, Corporate Portraits & Headshots, and photo-journalistic coverage of Special Events. I also specialize in Equine Portraiture.

I use professional Canon cameras and lenses, and I bring spares in case of equipment failure.

Family Portraits

There's no better way to capture the significant milestones in life than through regular family portraits. Children grow up all too quickly, young families mature, graduations come and go, and loved ones retire to warmer climes — family portraits become treasured memories that are handed down from generation to generation. And short of being there in person, nothing spans time and distance better than the portrait of a loved one, or those special memories from images of family reunions long past.
