Coastal Brown Bears
Alaska's Katmai National Park and Preserve consists of more than 4.7 million acres of prime brown bear habitat. There are an estimated 4,000 bears currently living within the park and preserve, making it an area with the highest concentration of brown bears in the world. Kelly, my wife, and I spent four days in an area called Kaguyak viewing and photographing these beautiful animals. It is a privilege to watch these bears from a distance let alone up-close and personal.
